Vinod to fly solo

Vinod, the actor, had impressed audiences as a baddie in the recently-released Naan Mahaan Alla. Well, he’s back in action in Kollywood again.
The youngster, who first made a mark in the Tamil film industry in the film Nanda, in which he played a younger Suriya, will now be seen playing the lead in Oothari, a film directed by Shakti Krishna.
A source close to the unit says, “Shakti, who has assisted directors including Sundar C and Selvaa, has worked hard on the film, which is all about the lives of Chennaiites.Vinod, who’s played the lead in Gaana Kombath, a Malayalam film, will be making his debut as a hero with Oothari. The film, which will have music by Bala Barathi, will go on floors this month. Vishnu Priya, who’s making her debut with Selvaa’s Naanga, will be playing the female lead in this film.”
