Sundar C turns lyricist

Music composer Vijay Ebenezer (of Kandaen fame) is currently busy composing the music for Masala Café, Sundar C’s next film.
Interestingly, the movie has a song penned by the director-actor himself! Reveals Vijay, “He (Sundar) always gives me dummy lyrics before we start work on any song. One of the lines he gave me was so nice that I asked him if we can retain it in the actual track as well and he agreed.” This peppy song, which will be one of the highlights of the film, will have all youth-centric jargon.The music of this film, he says, will be different from his work in Kandaen.
“As the subject revolves around happenings in Kumbakonam, we have included two fast-paced folk-type songs. But they will be different from the usual kuthu numbers you hear in Tamil cinema,” he promises.
