“I didn’t have any big dreams. My aim was to get a degree and settle down after marriage,” says the actor who tasted success in her maiden Malayalam venture, Nivedyam.
The Kannada film industry, she says, is her second home. “I have watched Mynaa and loved every bit of it,” she says. Most of the shoots were outdoors. “I have lost count of the number of leech bites on me,” recounts Bhama.
She considers herself lucky to have been associated with good banners in a short span. With good movies in almost all the south Indian industries, Bhama is going places. “Soon after Nivedyam, I got good offers from Tamil. But then I didn’t know who Cheran or Linguswamy were. By the time I came to know about such fine directors, I felt bad that I missed such good opportunities,” says the actor.
The actress admits to being selective about Malayalam movies. “I have decided to do just two or three movies in Malayalam a year. I want to do some good movies,” she says.
Bhama is looking forward to Joshy’s Sevens, her Onam release. Her second Tamil movie, Sevarkodi, will soon release. The actress is also all set to start shooting for a Vimal movie opposite Asif Ali.
