Shooting in God’s own country...

Namitha is very popular in Kerala, thanks to her glamorous roles in Tamil films.
The actress was recently in Kochi for the shoot of her debut film in Malayalam titled Black Stallion. The film, which will be directed by hit maker Pramod Pappan, has Namitha playing the role of Laura Singh, a bar dancer. Kalabhavan Mani plays the hero in the film.
We hear that Namitha, who has been signed for a record amount for the film, was continuously mobbed on shooting locations . As a result, she had a lot of security guards around her! Despite all that, she loved the place.
Says Namitha, ���I was at the Athirapally waterfalls to shoot a song and I simply adored the greenery and climate. No doubt that they call it God���s Own Country! I think it���s definitely the most beautiful place in India for shooting films. I might even buy a house near the backwaters.��� The sexy siren says that she���s open to doing more Malayalam films and has no problem if the role is glamorous. ���My role in Black Stallion demands glamour but there is also scope for performance,��� she adds, ���In fact, I had offers from Mammootty sir but missed them due to date clashes.���
