Sharreth's funny side

Music director Sharreth can not only compose scintillating tunes, he can also make people laugh their guts out.
And that was exactly what he did at the audio launch function of the film 180, for which he has composed music. The music director, while speaking on the occasion, kept the audience in splits by narrating funny incidents that had taken place while composing music for the film.
Began the music director, “When Jayendra sir told me that he was going to make a film and that he wanted me to compose music for the film, I was both delighted and under pressure.Delighted because I would be working with him on a fullfledged feature film and under pressure, because I knew that it’s difficult to please him. I called all the Gods to my aid. I would have composed some 150 tunes for this film.
“Every time, I would think I had come up with some great tune, only to be told that it wasn’t measuring up. Days rolled by before I could give tunes that could satisfy him. In fact, every year, on his birthday, I would get a tune approved. So, you know the kind of effort involved.”
On a serious note, he said, “Jayendra sir is a perfectionist. The very fact that he has approved these tunes gives me the satisfaction of having four or five Oscars.”
