Srinagar Kitty���s sharp dialogues as Gaali Seena in Savari have impressed the audience. ���All credit goes to Manju Mandavya. He���s done a wonderful job,��� he says. With the film doing well and attracting excellent reviews, Kitty says, ���My previous films didn���t do well, so I���m happy my audience loved me in this.��� Kitty feels that people loved the pace of Savari.
���We don���t exactly know the pulse of the audience. But this movie had small messages interspersed and we could establish a connect with movie-goers. It was not real-time cinema, so nobody got bored. Mahatma Gandhi kathe ginta, Vijay Mallya bage keluke janarige ishta,��� he says. Though Savari is a remake, Kitty says that only 20 out of 100 remakes break even. ���Remakes, if made in our style and nativity, will have some impact. Savari was made in Sandalwood style.
We chose places like Kunigal, Tumkur, Arsikere and Sakleshpur,��� he says. While Kitty is also a lead in the film, he���s not much in the promotions and even on the movie posters. ���It was to surprise people. The second set of promotions will have me on the posters,��� he clarifies. After Savari, Kitty has several films lined up, including the much talked-about Olave Jeeavana Lekhachara, which is finally releasing on May 11. ���It���s an out-and-out Nagathihalli Chandrashekar film; it���s very slow, aaram, neat and no vulgarity,��� he says. And his other project, Male Barali Manju Erali, is slated to release in a couple of months. Kitty will soon start his next film in May. ���I will also be working for a film by TS Nagabharana,��� he signs off.
