Both Samudrakani and Sasikumar have had no problems directing and being directed by each other. Their trust in one another and their hardwork seem to be helping them both reap rich rewards.
In fact, the two, after delivering back-to-back hits with Subramaniapuram and Nadodigal, seem all set to score again. Easan, their latest film together to hit screens, is already garnering appreciation from various quarters.
Ask Samudrakani how this is possible and he explains, “Our friends group comprises of five members. Director Sasikumar and cameraman Kathir are an integral part of this group. We have fights within the group but they are only at an idealogical level and never personal. The fights get resolved within five minutes of having broken out. In fact, a lot of people who are jealous of our friendship have tried to make us part ways but we make fun of such efforts and move on. We have absolute trust in each other and do what is necessary for the film. When Sasi is directing the film, I follow his instructions and when I’m directing it, he follows mine.
Even if both of us make a mistake, Kathir, who is the cameraman, ensures that everything is in order.”
