Ready for action!

The Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Ready has finally been titled Utthamaputthiran. The film, which has Dhanush and Genelia in the lead, is being directed by Mithran K Jawahar.
The Jawahar-Dhanush combination has worked big time in Kollywood, with their first venture Yaaradi Nee Mohini (with Nayanthara) running for 175 days and their latest Kutty (with Shriya) turning out to be a superhit.
A source close to the unit of Utthamaputthiran says, “Genelia played the lead in Ready. When she got to know that the film was being made in Tamil, she was eager to work in the remake as well. Despite having a busy Bollywood schedule, she immediately gave dates for us. Dhanush also adjusted his call sheets according to Genelia’s dates.”
The film, which also features Bhagyaraj, Vivekh, Karunas and Aashish Vidhyarthi, has music by Vijay Antony.
