Ranam crew high on rehearsals
The Tamil film industry seems to have realised the significance of rehearsals.
More and more Tamil film directors are now insisting that their film units opt for rehearsal sessions before beginning work on the actual film.
A case in point is that of director Vijayasekaran, who is now directing the film Ranam. Says a source close to the director, “The film’s story is set in Chennai and will feature characters that speak several international and Indian languages.

The director, who has been an assistant to director Prabhu Solomon, has, after selecting artists based on their knowledge of different languages including Italian, Korean and Chinese, split them into groups and is making them attend acting classes at Koothuppattarai.
He is also having rehearsal sessions at his office to ensure that nothing goes wrong while shooting for the actual film.” No wonder then that the Tamil film industry is rated high!
