For over a month now, there has been constant speculation on where Kollywood’s biggest icon-Rajinikanth will stay when he returns from Singapore where he had gone for his medical treatment. Chennai Times had been bringing you updates from time to time. While some sources stated that he’d stay in Poes Garden, which is still under renovation, others said that he’d take complete rest in his farmhouse at Kelambakkam.
But, the Superstar seems to have surprised everyone by making an entirely different move and deciding to stay in an apartment in Venus Colony, Alwarpet! Talk is that the actor has purchased an entire floor for his use and that he’ll stay there with the entire family, including his grandchildren Linga and Yatra, till work in his Poes Garden residence gets completed.
It looks like it’s family bonding time for
Rajinikanth now that he’s on the road to recovery. A source says, “He’s eager to bounce back and start working. In fact, director K S Ravikumar recently met up with him. They talked for quite a while. Apart from discussing health issues, Rana too figured in the talks. That Rajini is in regular touch with the director and even went to the extent of calling his heroine in the film,
Deepika Padukone, from Singapore shows that he’s looking forward to facing the camera once again.”
Meanwhile, rumours had it that Rajini might work with director Puri Jagannath on the Tamil remake of the Hindi flick Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baab, which had his good friend Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. But when we contacted sources close to the Tollywood filmmaker, they denied the rumours, stating that Puri was tied up till 2012 with prior commitments.
