The Malayalam actor will play a Tamil painter in his debut Bollywood flickPrithviraj is gearing up for his debut in B’town that will begin next month when he starts filming opposite Rani Mukherjee for the movie Ayya. Earlier this year, Prithvi had signed the deal for the Anurag Kashyap-produced movie. Anurag and his team were reportedly impressed with the actor’s performances in some of his Mollywood movies and consequently offered him the lead role in the offbeat film.
Ayya will mark the Bollywood debut of National Award-winning Marathi director Sachin Kundalkar.
“I play a young Tamil painter in the film that narrates the love story between him and a Marathi girl (played by Rani). I’ll also be dubbing for the movie in Hindi,” says the actor, who has a Malayalam flick titled Indian Rupee coming up besides Mallu Singh and Mayflower.
