Power play of politics

Set against the backdrop of May 13, when the power shift happened in West Bengal, Kaushik Sen’s play, “Shei Sumouli”, was staged at The Park to a packed hall.
When Sumouli commits suicide, Rajatava Dutta and Debdut Ghosh, playing the two leading men (Sumouli’s husband and partner) engage in a dialogue to decide who she has wronged more, who she was closer to and the reasons behind her committing suicide. This formed the premise of the play.
Among the audience, we spotted Arindam Sil with Shukla, Bonnya Bose and Kanchan Mallick.
