‘People envy my position’

Which is why rumours of a rift between Ganesh and him are doing the rounds, says his manager, Subramanya.
‘People envy my position’
Sandalwood is always buzzing with hot goss. The latest is the talk of a spat between namma Ganesh and his manager of two years, Subramanya.
BT received calls from various sources who said that the Golden Star isnt on speaking terms with Subbanna, as the actor fondly calls him, anymore.
Apparently, it has do with the fact that some of Ganeshs previous films like Bombaat, Sangama and Circus havent done too well.
1x1 polls
Since Subramanya advises Ganesh about his scripts, the actor was unhappy with him, says a source, adding, Some industry folks think Subramanya quotes too high a price as Ganeshs remuneration. G was quite upset when he heard about that and decided to confront Subbanna. So, the two are not working together anymore and Ganeshs dates will no longer be managed by Subbanna.
When BT called Subramanya, he said he wasnt surprised by the rumours. Some friends told me two local tabloids also reported a misunderstanding between Ganesh and me. But I dont mull over such things. he says.
Is he still handling Gs dates? Ganesh has never told me to handle his dates, nor has he told me to stop looking after them. Im like a part of Ganeshs family we discuss a lot of things and they take my advice sometimes. he replies.
He adds, Earlier, many biggies went to Ganesh with stories about me. Adikke ondu swalpa uppu, huli, kara haaki helta idru. But he never heeded them. In fact, Ganesh would even narrate those tales to me! Thats the kind of relationship we share.

What about speculation that hes responsible for the failure of Ganeshs previous three films? These rumours are being spread by people who havent got his call sheet or they just envy my position! laughs Subramanya. Is he satisfied with the way Ganeshs career is going? We may have gone wrong. But in future well ensure that we give all his films our 200 per cent. We cant overlook even the smallest detail, he explains.
What about him quoting a huge sum as Ganeshs salary? Ganesh has no fixed price that can be quoted off a tariff card. I dont decide his payment. Its between him and the producer, says Subramanya.
As a parting shot, he says, Ganesh and I have never had a spat and I dont see it happening in the future either.
