Pawan Kalyan flaunts his new Merc SUV at Ram Charan’s engagement

The 'Power Star' drove his nephew Ram Charan Tej to the latter's engagement in his brand new SUV.
Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan has just bought a new set of hot wheels and his latest prized possession is a fully-loaded white Mercedes G 55 Kompressor AMG. The Power Star flaunted the swanky, new Merc SUV when he drove to venue of his brother Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Tej’s engagement accompanied by the latter on Thursday night.Pawan Kalyan, who wore a sombre white shirt, zipped past briefly stopping for the media as Charan voiced his excitement to the scribes and paparazzi present. “I’m very very happy and am looking forward to the event,” said an excited Charan Tej as Pawan Kalyan looked on when the duo briefly halted outside the venue to interact with the media. Ram Charan Tej got engaged to Apollo Group heiress Upasna Kamineni at her farmhouse in the outskirts of Hyderabad on December 1.
It is believed that the “Teen Maar” star wanted to purchase an 12 cylinder Audi Q7 but went for the Mercedes G 55 Kompressor AMG. The G 55 may not boast of awe-inspiring looks but is one of most rugged cars ever produced and is known for it’s indestructible feel. It is Mercedes’ longest-serving passenger car series and boasts of a list of illustrious owners. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, has several G 55s — all with the number plate ‘1’. A special G-Class was made for the Pope in the past as well. Pawan Kalyan now joins the list of proud owners of Merc G 55s with his white G 55 Kompressor AMG. The car was delivered close to a week back and news about the SUV surfaced when Neelima Tirumalasetti, one of producers of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film “Panjaa”, tweeted on November 29, “Just arrived ...Brand new Mercedes G 55 of Pawan Kalyan. A very rare and unique SUV for a very rare and unique person” along with a photograph of the actor’s swanky German car.
“Panjaa” stars Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Sarah-Jane Dias, Jackie Shroff and Anjali Lavania who figured in Times 50 Most Desirable Women list of 2010. The film is all set to release on December 9, 2011. Pawan Kalyan is currently shooting for “Gabbar Singh” that stars Shruti Haasan.
