Recently, while addressing the media on the sets of Kalavadiya Pozhuthugal, in which he makes a brief appearance as Periyar, the actor dismissed all the accolades showered upon him for agreeing to make a guest appearance in the movie.
He said, ���I don���t know why they hesitated so much to approach me for this project. It is an honour to play the role of Periyar. All of them are thanking me for agreeing to make a guest appearance. On the contrary, I have to thank them for asking me to play the role of such a great man again.��� The star also disclosed that he longed to play the role of Karl Marx once. Thangar Bachan, the director of the movie, said a May Day song was being filmed with 9,000 artistes for the film, in which actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva plays the lead. Veteran Communist Party leader Varadarajan was also present to witness the filming of the song. Arun Pandian, the film���s producer, also thanked Sathyaraj for his gesture.
