No wedding for Ananya?

Rumour has it that the actress has called off her engagement to Thrissur-based entrepreneur Anjaneyan
This is as filmi as real life can get. Actress Ananya, who got engaged to Thrissur-based entrepreneur Anjaneyan, has allegedly called off the wedding.
A source close to the actress’ family says, “When the news of Anjaneyan’s alleged first marriage leaked, Ananya’s family wanted the engagement called off. So when Anjaneyan paid one of his usual visits to the actress’ home in Perumbavoor, her folks did not let him in. That was when her father lodged a complaint against Anjaneyan for trying to force into their home.”
Apparently, the family was not aware that Ananya knew of her beau’s divorcee status beforehand; the actress had kept the news away from her family for fear of disapproval. “She finally confessed and got her family to withdraw the complaint lodged against Anjaneyan at the Perumbavoor police station,” the source says.
The star, who had kept a safe distance from rumour mills till her engagement took place, suddenly found her personal life the topic of discussion on popular social networking sites where people analysed the “mismatch.”
A fuming Ananya had then told Kochi Times, “I’m a public figure; agreed. But that doesn’t mean I’m public property and that everyone is entitled to discuss my personal life.” However, our source now reveals that the actress has given in to the wishes of her kith and kin and called off the wedding. When this newspaper contacted Ananya, she was out on a drive with her beau. Though, she said, “My personal life has been discussed beyond limits on public domain. I don’t wish to talk about it anymore.” Anjaneyan, on his part, said, “I strongly believe there are some people who are out to tarnish our reputation. Let them do what they want.” The couple, however, refused to comment on the status of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Ananya is busy with pivotal roles in Masters, Mullamottum Mundiricharum and The Reporter. “I’ll begin shooting for director Viji Thampy’s Nadodimannan and Mumbai Dosth in April and May respectively. Director Ashraf’s Ameya will also begin its shoot soon,” the actress informs.
