Jennifer Kotwal has no qualms about acting in male-centric films and is looking for fun scripts, she tells TOIWe haven’t seen you in ages. Where have you been?I’ve been busy with my modelling career that’s just taken off on a national level. You’ll soon see me as the face of quite a few television commercials that will be on air in a few weeks. What about Sandalwood? We’ve finally wrapped up Prince and only the post-production work is left.
The film will release on time and I will be back in Sandalwood with a bang.
But we still haven’t seen you as much as we should be...I know my following in the south is huge and I am game for good roles. Just let a few hatke ones come my way and watch me take over the world. So what kind of scripts are you looking for?The fun kind. I am a fun person and I really enjoy fun movies. No serious stuff for me.How about women-centric films? No way! I don’t want to be the only lead. No swords, police uniforms and macho roles for me. I’m quite happy being the heroine in a male-centric film as long as my role is captivating. Anything happening on the other-language front?I’ve been getting offers from the Tamil film industry, but I’m still waiting for that one meaty role that will make my cut. That one amazing role that would make for an awesome entry into Kollywood. And who would that entry be opposite?Rajini sir, I hope! I really love the man, and I’m not just saying that because everybody else is saying it. I’m probably the only Mumbai-based actress who ensures I watch his every release with a whole set of fans in a proper south Indian theatre. I adore the man and his amazing sense of style. And well, he’s a Sagittarian and I’m a Leo — what a perfect match! What about Kannada? No wishes here?Of course! I’ve always wanted to act opposite Puneet Rajkumar, and even though industry experts say that will not work since I paired opposite Shivraj in Jogi, I still think it will work fabulously. We’re both such good dancers and isn’t that enough of a reason?Follow us on Twitter for more stories
