Naseeruddin Shah dazzles Chennaiites

It was a night filled with high drama and emotionally-stirring moments as Chennai played host to a theatrical presentation like no other.
Actor par excellence Naseeruddin Shah dazzled audiences with a stellar performance of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial, which was directed by him.
Aided by an ensemble of fine actors, the post-World War drama had audiences rivetted to their seats thanks to the razor sharp dialogues and the actors’ pitch perfect sense of timing.The after-party that followed the play, was a much-needed excuse to unwind as the actors chilled out, sans the greasepaint. Theatre aficionados from across Chennai had packed the venue to the brim to indulge themselves with the performance, and chat up with the actors. Shah seemed to be in great spirits as he happily fended questions and greeted a few old pals. Kenny Desai was also spotted having a jolly good time as he kept the cheer factor on with his amiable presence. With such a great theatre scene going on in Chennai, it seems lovers of the stage can only brace themselves for more such performances in the city!
