If you were wondering what winners of reality shows do after their big win, here’s an update on one of them.
Najim Arshad has gone on to make his own music album, and his music video Ídayanilaa has got itself a good many hits online too. “I’d started playback signing, but I wanted to create an independent music album. That’s how I’m Here, came about," he says.
The album, which features five songs in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, has one video. “We roped in some of the best in the industry for the videography and editing,” says Najim.
The video has won accolades for its visuals and cinematography and short clips featuring celebrities like Asif Ali, Jayasurya and Rima Kallingal speaking about the video are now doing the rounds.
"The album has been a family affair," Najim admits. His brother Haritch Shahzed has composed Idayanila, while his father has done the music for another track.
A close friend, Abhinand Kumar has directed the video.
As far as movies are concered, Najim’s next is Malayalam film Diamond Necklace. He also has a Marathi film coming up for release soon.
