Film personalities went on the roads to distribute newspapers as a sign of protest against the ongoing vendors strike
It’s been over 10 days since Kerala’s newspaper vendors and distributors went on a strike.
While a few people have been making the effort to go out to source their daily dose of morning news, it is Mollywood’s celebrities who seem to have decided – enough is enough.

As a sign of protest against the on-going strike, film personalities got on the roads in Kochi to distribute newspapers themselves. Actors Baburaj, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Lena, Krishnapriya, Zeenat and director Harinarayanan gathered at 7 am on Monday to turn distributors for the day. For about an hour, they went around asking passers-by, passengers on buses, people at traffic signals, auto rickshaw drivers, store owners, cops and just about anyone they came across, to buy newspapers from them.
An amusing sight no doubt, we hear the celebs managed to make enough money to buy themselves a round of chaaya, pazhampori and vada before they went back to work.
