Quiz anyone and they would tell you that striking a right chord the first time you meet someone goes a long way in establishing a great relationship. And when it comes to the film industry, first impressions are quite essential. Cinematographer Mahesh Muthuswami, who has shot three films for
Mysskin, tells us that is why he has managed to strike a great rapport with director.
“I was recommended to Mysskin for Chithiram Pesuthadi by editor Mu Kasi Viswanathan. The first time I met him, Mysskin had just installed a book shelf in his office. He asked me if I had read the book, In the Blink of an Eye by film editor Walter Murch, which was on the rack. I told him I had. That sealed the deal as he could judge my cinematic sensibilities from my having read that book,” he reminisces on his first meeting with the director.
Now, this bond did happen in the blink of an eye! Wotsay?
