After setting the perfect launchpad in Mollywood for Samuthirakani through Shikkar, director M Padmakumar has now roped in Kishore and Thambi Ramaiah for his next movie Thiruvambadi Thampan. The film reunites most of the cast and crew of the Mohanlalstarrer Shikkar, with
Sneha playing the female lead and S Suresh Babu handling the scripting. Jayaram will play the titular role in the entertainer that has been scheduled to begin filming by mid-November.
Kishore, who plays Veerappan in the Kollywood flick Vana Yudham, will don the role of the villain in the Malayalam film, while Thambi Ramaiah, noted for his National Awardwinning performance in Mynaa, will also play a prominent character.
The cast also includes Kalabhavan Mani and Suraaj Venjaramoodu. Kishore and Thambi, therefore, will join the long list of Kollywood actors who are testing waters in Mollywood this year. The Nadodigal team has been the frontrunner, with Samudrakani and Abhinaya starring in The Reporter and actor Sasikumar acting alongside Prithviraj and Piaa Bajpai in Masters.
Incidentally, Amala Paul, who acted in the Mollywood remake of Nadodigal, is also returning with Dr K Biju’s Akashathinte Niram.
