Karthi adopts a tiger

Karthi, Suriya's brother, who is presently busy with the Kollywood version of Raviteja’s ‘Vikramarkudu’, proved his kindness yesterday when he visited Vandalur Zoo with his niece Diya (Daughter of Suriya and Jyothika). The generous Karthi adopted Namratha, a one year old white tiger cub.
‘I am happy that I can help in the conservation of the tiger which is at the top of the pyramid.Conserving the tiger is like conserving the forest itself. As a wildlife enthusiast, I visited the zoo often as a child but I never thought I would have the opportunity to adopt a tiger,’ Karthi said.
The actor adopted Namratha by paying Rs. 77,000 in the form of a cheque to the member secretary of the Tamil Nadu Zoo Authority. This money will be used towards feeding and maintenaning Namratha in the zoo.
