Struggler Jayshree Venkatramanan gave up on the dream of becoming an actress and went back to her hometown Delhi after two unsuccessful years. She was summoned back by her parents. But soon after, Producer S Farhaan who was hunting for a protogonist for his show Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga chanced upon her audition tape and decided only she would do the part.
However when he approached her, she refused the role, as she didn’t want to go against her parents. An adamant Farhaan, decided to speak to her parents, who flatly refused to allow their daughter to go back and struggle again. The conversation with his parents went on for hours in the middle of the night. Farhaan went a step further and sent flight tickets for Jayshree to come to mumbai the very next day. Though she yearned to come, she did not want to upset her parents and thus did not board the flight. Refusing to give up, Farhaan pursued the newbie and her parents yet again. He gave all kinds of proof of his credibility and assured them that their daughter was a bundle of talent who needs one good break, and this show is meant for her! Afters hours of convincing, he sent the tickets again and Jayshree was reluctantly allowed to realise her dream one last time. A classic case of once bitten twice shy. Jayshree didn’t believe her luck and felt it was all just a dream until the promos featuring her as the lead hit the airwaves. Last heard, her parents told her ‘Beta kaala teeka lagaa lena. Bahut sundar lag rahi ho’. Well, strugglers must never lose hope and if you are meant to get a role you may get it even while sitting at home!
