At a time when luck is shining bright on her, actress Meghana Raj didn't think twice about playing the mom of two in director Aji John's Namukku Parkkaan."I don't want to be typecast as a heroine doing just glamorous roles. In fact, Namukku Parkkaan has such an enticing script that I knew I had to be a part of it," says the actress, who is currently shooting near the Athirapally waterfalls for the flick.
"Bubbly roles and running around trees don't satiate an actor's quest for the best. Whether I'm in a sari or a mini skirt hardly matters as long as the role I do in a film is substantial and makes a difference," says Meghana.
Moreover, her faith in co-star Anoop Menon's script attracted her to the project all the more. "Yes, Anoop was another inspiration to be a part of the film. Director Aji John has a style of filmmaking that will surely appeal to all. I'm sure the film will be lapped up by the masses," says Meghana, who has a handful of upcoming releases in her kitty, including Pangayam, Mullamottum Mundiricharum and Mad Dad besides a few Tamil and Kannada flicks.
