I'd jump at a Sandalwood offer: Soundarya

I'd jump at a Sandalwood offer: Soundarya
The Gandhinagar grapevine has been abuzz with the news that Soundarya, the daughter of veteran actress and KFCC president Jayamala, is making her film debut.
And the actress, wholl hit the big screen with a Telugu film, tells BT, Its not the language, but the story and the star cast that were important. I couldnt have found a better script to start with.
Soundarya, wholl be starring opposite Yasho Sagar of Ullasanga Utsahanga fame, says, This is Yashos second film.
1x1 polls
It was actually his first film, Ullasanga..., which prompted me to take up this offer. Ive watched it 12 times and I especially like the family scene in the beginning of the film. The film Ill be shooting for is also a refreshing subject and is for the youth.
Soundarya adds that she feels honoured to be making her big-screen debut with a Telugu film. Its an industry thats on par with Bollywood, she says.
The newbie, however, always wanted a Sandalwood launch, but never got film offers at the right time. I was offered roles in Kannada films when I was a kid, but my mother didnt want me to act at the time. Im ready to start my film career now, but I havent got the right kind of Kannada script yet. If I do, Ill definitely jump at the offer, says Soundarya.
And what does the star kids mom have to say to her by way of advice? Keep practising and work as much as you can. You can achieve something only then. Laziness may pay off now, but hard work pays off every time. Thats been my mothers advice, reveals the actress.
Soundarya didnt always want to be an actress. I wanted to be a vet, but things changed suddenly after I finished college. And since my mother is an actress, I know how the industry works. I feel really lucky that shes there to guide me, she says. And the newbie has a game plan: You have to be smart and know whats what and whos who in the industry and make the right moves.
