'I thought I'd risk it for my banner'
He may have gotten more rain than he bargained for in Sakleshpur and Mysore, but Golden Star Ganesh didn���t let that dampen his spirits.
The actor is back in Bangalore, where he���s in and out of the editing studio dubbing for Maleyali Jotheyali (MJ).
G is also getting ready to record five songs for the film, after which they���ll start filming them from August 27.

And the actor-turned-producer will also take on the role of playback singer for the film���s opening song. ���I used to participate at inter-college singing competitions and was even part of an orchestra. So, I thought I���d sing for my film ��� I would risk it for my banner. We���re just fine-tuning the song at the moment,��� explains Ganesh, adding that the MJ team might go abroad or up north to shoot the songs. ���That all depends on my producer,��� he laughs, referring to his wife and the film���s producer, Shilpa.
Ganesh���s next on-screen outing, however, will be Ullasa Uthsaha, which will release in September. Then, he will start work on an untitled film in October, in which he will play a lover boy again. Will this film, like Mungaru Male, also be about unrequited love? ���Not every story will have a sad ending. And not every end that involves a sacrifice will be convincing. There���s nothing to sacrifice if the girl pursues me,��� he laughs.
Ganesh, however, is also saddened about the challenges the Kannada film industry is facing from non-Kannada films. ���I will stand by whatever decision the industry takes regarding this issue. But I agree that we should give preference to our language,��� he asserts.
