I don’t mind doing 'bold' roles: Prajna
The girl who started off with a homely image in Ganesha Mathe Banda three years ago is now hot property in Sandalwood.
The 17-year-old Prajna, who’s currently in Taiwan shooting for Rockline’s Devru opposite Vijay, feels that she’s on the verge of making it big in the industry. “Bagging a Rockline production is a real big deal. Now, I feel that I’ve finally been recognised as an actress, says the excited actress.
Though she doesn’t want to say too much about her role, the actress tells us that she plays a ‘bold’ model in Devru.

Even in her yet-to-be released Kencha and the recent Preethse Preethse, Prajna dared to bare. “I don’t mind doing ‘bold’ roles. Because if we don’t do it, our producers will bring girls from Mumbai to play such roles. I don’t want to miss out on such opportunities. Even Kannada heroines can look glamorous, says Prajna. “If the director says showing skin is essential in a film, we have to do it. And I’m bold enough to do such roles, she adds.
While she’s gaining a foothold in the Kannada industry, Prajna has now moved on to doing Tamil films, too. “I’ve managed to get a good break in a Linguswamy production, with Balaji Sakthivel of Kadhal fame directing the film, she tells us.
And the glam doll will do a U-turn and essay the role of a maid in her Kollywood debut. “It’ll be quite challenging and I will start working on the film from next month, she says, adding, “I don’t understand Tamil and speaking the labour class lingo is going to be tough. But she’s willing to experiment and work hard in her bid to reach the top.
