I didn’t insist on Yaana Gupta: Prem

Prem isn���t particular about which item girl features in the introductory song of Jothegara as long as the song itself isn���t dropped
Back after a long hiatus following his last film, Honganasu, Lovely Star Prem is keeping his fingers crossed. But even as Prem eagerly awaits his next release Ghauttham, his other film Jothegara with Ramya is on hold.That���s because the introductory song, which was supposed to be shot with Yaana Gupta, has been dropped. Moreover, the producers were planning to release the film without the song. This hasn���t gone down well with the actor. ���Heroism erodu aa introductory songnalli. Otherwise, it will fall flat. This song was included as the script demanded it and that���s why I accepted the offer. Just because they think they���re overshooting the budget, they can���t change the subject,��� contends Prem.
With discussions still under way, he���s adamant that he will not let the movie release without the song and wants to approach the artistes��� association. Is it because the song sequence has Yaana Gupta as an item girl? ���I didn���t insist on Yaana Gupta. It was their choice. I only request them to follow the script they narrated. If I settle for a compromise, then the same thing will happen with other artistes too,��� he asserts.
While his earlier projects, Nenapirali and Jothe Jotheyalli, were hits, Honganasu and Pallakki flopped miserably. ���The latter two had less entertainment and more of a message,��� feels Prem, who knows that his forthcoming movies should not disappoint the audience. ���Namma Kannada janrige yarigu nirashe agodilla. Now, my films will have more entertainment,��� he says. So, what made him take a long break? ���I didn���t want to do remakes. I sat at home the whole year hoping to do only original Kannada scripts. But I finally had to go the way the rest of the industry is,��� admits Prem.
