Hashika to make her acting debut

Yet another newcomer from a neighbouring state is seeking to make it big in Kollywood. Hashika, who hails from Bangalore, will make her debut in the Tamil film industry along with Prem Nazir in Malar Melnilaipalli, a film being directed by Sri Mahesh.
The actress, who has been in Chennai for over a year now, claims that she has already signed three films, the first of which happens to be Malar Melnilaipalli.
On her role in the film, she says, “I play a cheerful and bold girl in this film. My parents love me so much that my dad actually buys a school for me. Under these circumstances, I fall in love with my classmate. What happens next is what the movie is all about.”
Signing off with a memorable incident that occurred during filming, she says, “We were shooting the climax on a hillock near Madurai and I was to run downhill and the villains were to follow me. We were shooting this scene when I suddenly lost my balance and fell. I rolled for quite a distance and as a result, sustained injuries on my legs and back. In fact, I was advised a month’s rest after the incident. But I haven’t let that accident delay the schedule. We have almost finished shooting this movie. The movie is almost 90 per cent complete and is expected to hit the screens before Diwali.”
