Finally, premarital sex is fine: Khushboo

There’smore a sense of relief than triumph at Bollywoood child-star turned Tamilsuperstar Khushboo’s residence in Chennai. Her much misconstrued commentson pre-marital sex in 2005 provoked 22 criminal cases against her, but werefinally defended by a special bench of the Supreme Court last week, which ruledthat there was nothing illegal about live-in relationships and premaritalsex
“I now know I can speak my mind freely, that freedomof speech does exist in our country and we’ve a completely dependablejudiciary.The reason why I fought against all odds were my daughters. I had totell them that their mother is strong and they should be proud of her,”she said from Chennai on Sunday.
And now Khushboo is all set toreturn to Hindi films. Says Khushboo, “I can’t remember the lastHindi film I did...Oh yes,it was Deeewana Mujhsa Nahin with Aamir Khan and MadhuriDixit.”
Khushboo says very few of her colleagues from Mumbaihave kept in touch with her. “Except Govinda, Madhoo and Rajeev Kapoor.Govinda and me are bum-chums. I say to his wife Sunita, ‘I’ve letyou have him for 26 years. I can still run away with him.’ We’rejust a phone call away from each other.”
