Dinesh to make only remakes

Dinesh Gandhi is a happy man.
The producer���s last film, the Sudeep-starrer and directorial Veera Madakari (a remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu), will complete 100 days soon. Dinesh is so heartened by the film���s success that he���s determined his forthcoming ventures will have actor-directors. He���s already started work on his next project, which will be directed by Ravichandran and have the Crazy Star in the lead as well.
Confirming the news, Dinesh says, ���The film will be titled Hoo and will be a remake of the Telugu film Vasantham, which had Venkatesh in the lead.Ravichandran will also do the screenplay, dialogues, lyrics and music for the film. Hoo will be along the same lines as Ravichandran���s Kanasugara,��� adds Dinesh.
���While Veera Madakari was a mass hit, Hoo will be a wholesome family entertainer targetted especially at women,��� he promises. Hoo will also star Meera Jasmine and will see Tamil hottie, Namitha, return to Sandalwood.
In addition to Hoo, Dinesh is simultaneously doing the groundwork for another film, in which the hero will play director. But he���s not making any announcements about who the star will be yet. What he is willing to tell us, though, is that the film will be another remake. ���No more original scripts for me,��� he says firmly. Reason? ���The story will be interesting when we first hear it, but by the time the picture is ready, it will be a different story,��� he says.
���When I go with original films, no distributor comes forward for it. When I take the remake route, the distributors and I are happy,��� he maintains.
Does that mean that he will only make remakes of successful Telugu films? ���No, I���ll also remake films in other languages as long as they���re hits,��� replies Dinesh. And will he repeat the two heroine-one hero formula as well? ���That trend���s been lucky for me so far, so I���ll incorporate it in my future projects too,��� he reveals.
