Dharani's Tollywood dreams
Looks like Kollywood films are making quite an impact in T-town. After the stupendous success of Yuganikki Okkadu (dubbed version of Aayirathil Oruvan) and Ye Maya Chesave (Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya), director Dharani has also moved over to Tollywood.
Two years after the release of the Vijay—Trisha starrer Kuruvi, Dharani started the shoot for his new Telugu film recently in Hyderabad. The film titled Merupu brings back the hit Magadheera pair—the fast rising star Ram Charan Teja as hero and Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead.
The film also boasts of an impressive team — Devi Sri Prasad as music director, PC Sreeram as cameraman, Thotta Tharani as art director, and Antony as editor. The film, which is Dharani’s second Telugu venture, is billed to be a typical mass masala entertainer. Typical, Dharani style!
