Dev to not slum it for Nadodigal

Ever since director Samuthirakani has announced that he was hopeful of signing on Dev Patel for the Hindi remake of Nadodigal, expectations were high about Bollywood finally getting to see the debut of the Slumdog Millionaire actor.
The Telugu remake of the film is underway with Ravi Teja in the lead. This will be followed by the Kannada remake with Puneet Rajkumar playing the lead.The film is about the friendship of three characters, ready to do anything for each other. What happens when their friendship is put to test, is what forms the crux of the movie, already a smash hit in Tamil.
When TOI got in touch with Samuthirakani about his Hindi film, he said, ���Right now, I���m busy with my Telugu films. I���ll begin work on my Hindi film in August 2010. My producers are working on casting Dev.���
However, Emma Breidahl, assistant publicist of the company that handles the actor���s work, said, ���No, Dev is not doing this film.��� For those not in the know, Dev is playing Zuko in Manoj Night Shyamalan���s The Last Airbender.
