Musician Darbuka Siva’s talks about his kitchen disastersCook to impress:I am very bad at cooking, so I try staying away from the kitchen unless it’s really required. I can’t cook to impress anyone but if I really had to, I’d toss a salad with mayonnaise and a lot of vegetables .
Food for Cupid:Tender coconut water!
One exotic dish on my mind:I remember gorging on some amazing food at a Moroccan restaurant in the UK.
Another time, at a restaurant in China, we were served some really exotic food.
Favourite food-related endearment :If I were to call someone by a foodrelated endearment, it’d be ‘butter biscuit’ .
Favourite food-related memory:When my bandmates and I are abroad or even in another city in India, and happen to go to a restaurant, we completely dissect the menu, but end up ordering chicken biryani invariably. It’s always the safest option!
Favourite spice:Pepper all the way.
Restaurant speciality:If I were to open a restaurant, it would be multi-cuisine , as I love eating various kinds of food. I wouldn’t want to be restricted to any one cuisine.
Kitchen disasters:Once, when I was tossing a salad, I decided to spice things up a little by adding lots of vodka to it. Generally nobody ever sees me anywhere near the kitchen, so that day, everyone was enthusiastic about the entire cooking process. In the end, they had to make do with my vodka-soaked salad.
