Remember the village boy in Malarvady Arts Club, Bhagath Manuel? After playing a rustic character, he has moved on to do a variety of roles. M-town saw him last in
Dr Love. From playing supporting roles to the central character, Bhagath is going strong in tinseltown. He is all set to play the lead in Vinu Anand's
Perinoru Makan. He strongly believes this will open a new chapter in his career.
"I believe in the script. I am not the hero here but it's the script," says the actor. The movie, which is a family entertainer, will see Bhagath playing the role of Saranya Mohan's husband.
Bhagath, who always wanted to get into acting, left his MBA mid-way while studying in the UK. For the young actor,
Dr Loveproved to be a turning point in his career. "I became confident to shoulder characters with depth."
However, graduating to lead roles doesn't mean he will play only such kind of roles. "I am not particular that I should do the lead. I want to play some meaningful roles and be a part of good cinema."
"By God's grace good roles came to me. The roles I did so far are all special." He also shares that he is still in the learning process.
Bhagath will soon make his debut in Tamil through Raj Menon's directorial debut
Kadavul Pathy, Mrugam Pathy. He will also be seen in
Mastersand
Ustad Hotel in a different get up.
