Arab pressure forces Priyan to tweak title
The catchy title of Priyadarshan’s latest Mollywood venture 'Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum' has undergone some tweaking reportedly due to pressure from the Gulf.
Sources say that the director was forced to change its existing title after the Arabs were unhappy with it and also hinted at banning the release of the movie in the Middle East.
The Mohanlal-starrer, which was extensively shot in Abu Dhabi, will now be titled 'Oru Marubhoomi Kadha.' The original title will now be the tagline of the movie, says its producer Ashok Kumar.

Apart from its creative title, the comic entertainer had also attracted attention as it brings together the superhit pair of Priyadarshan and Mohanlal after nine years. Mukesh, Shakti Kapoor, Laxmi Rai and Bhavana also star in the comic caper, which narrates the story of two NRIs.
Interestingly, this is not the first time in 2011 that a Mollywood flick has run into troubled waters in the Gulf.
Earlier this year, the release of Kavya Madhavan’s 'Ghaddama' (servant in Arabic) was banned throughout the Middle East due to its theme about the hardships faced by a Malayali housemaid in Saudi Arabia.
However, Sreenivasan’s 'Arabikatha' managed to pass under the Arabs’ scanner as well as successfully depict the life of Malayali labourers in the Emirates. So, they are not all that careful after all!
