A casting coup
For his next, Srijit Mukherji has pulled off a casting coup of sorts. The matinee idols he has grown up watching on the silver screen are right there, working with him.
Making guest appearances in this light-hearted comedy starring Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Koel Mallick are Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Barun Chanda. News of Roopa Ganguly and Dipankar Dey being part of the film has surfaced already. “The entire cast is yet to be locked. But what an honour it is to be working with the industry stalwarts. I’ve grown up seeing them dazzle the big screen. I hope I can do justice,” says the director. Shooting is set to begin on November 23.
