Pratik Sehajpal: 'Jhooth' is all for those people nurturing a broken heart
'Jhooth' brings out the romantic chemistry between two lovers played by Pratik and Sara and it depicts their strong emotions of love and affection for each other and how it is painful for them to stay away from each other.
Pratik, who was also seen in a romantic avatar in his music video, 'Naina Mere', appreciated the lyrics and music of the song.
He added: "Oye Kunaal's music and Raahi's lyrics have created magic. Sara Gurpal's acting is par excellence. 'Jhooth' is all for those people who are nurturing a broken heart."
Punjabi singer Bilal Saeed, who is famous for both sad romantic melodies like ‘12 Saal’, ‘Bari’, ‘Teri Khair Mangdi’ and groovy numbers like ‘2 Number’, ‘Umbrella’ and more, recently sat for a candid cup of conversation with ETimes. During our interaction, he spoke on several subjects that highlight how Punjabi music has made its place on the map.
Here are the excerpts from our interview with Bilal Saeed:
We asked Bilal to share his view on the Punjabi music scene and how it has changed and evolved over the years. Sharing his thoughts on the topic, he said, “Punjabi music was the underdog and now owns the music industry worldwide. I take pride in being one of the people who started this in Pakistan.”
Moving further, we all are aware of how Punjabi songs are being revamped and used in Bollywood. Today, every Hindi movie has at least one Punjabi song (be it a groovy number or a sad melody) in the soundtrack. Now there are people who love the addition of Punjabi music in Bollywood movies, and on the other hand, there are a few who don’t appreciate the same. Bilal belongs in the former category. He told us, “Punjabi songs being redone for Bollywood makes them more commercial and reach a larger audience”
In the same conversation, we asked Bilal if he could travel back in time and change something in the past year, what would that be? The singer had a lovely reply to the question, he said, “I wouldn’t want to change anything frankly. Everything happened the way it was supposed to. The good and the bad. And it then ultimately contributed to everything great that’s going to happen in 2023. Personally, I’m excited.”
Last but not least, we wanted a sneak peek into what plans and dreams Bilal Saeed has for 2023 regarding the musical ground. And trust us the artist has the perfect answer to satiate our curiosity. He shared, “my dream is that I see Pakistani artists getting a lot more attention I believe we have a lot in store for the world.”
