Singer Dilnoor

says his latest track, 'Koi Hor,' which features B Praak and

, mirrors a modern reality, that of broken hearts. "In today's times 99.9% people are heart broken, so it makes sense to do songs that echo the popular sentiment, right?" laughs Dilnoor. With his genre of specialty being sad romantic, Dilnoor says he feels he is best suited for this style. "Music is heard according to the mood of the listener and the setting he/she is in. For instance, if a person is sad, he will listen to sad number, if he is driving uphill, he will pick a number that talks about the weather, if he's in a party, he will select a peppy track etc. So, if the current mood is soft, and romantic, I think it's better to make songs in tandem with that mood," says Dilnoor who is a professional guitarist and also played with Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai from 2014 to 2019.

Having assisted B Praak since 2017, Dilnoor eventually launched himself as a singer after two years. "Since B Praak paaji has been my biggest support and my guru it was a given that I would want to collaborate with him for my own tracks when I turned into an independent singer," he says about the song.
The music video features

Punjabi

singer, actor and 'Bigg Boss 14' contestant, Sara Gurpal. "We wanted a female protagonist for the video who would make people really emotional since the whole song is on the woman's emotions . We searched for many models and eventually finalised Sara. No one could have done a better job of the emotions that her," he says.
Ask him if the trend of Punjabi singers making independent songs with an eye on Bollywood is true and he says, "Yes, that trend has started since few years now. I get calls from people saying, 'paaji this song is Guru Randhawa style, that song is Badshah, and the other one is Jass Manak style.' But as far as I am concerned, though I will try to do beat songs since an artist has to be versatile, I think my forte is romantic and I prefer that."
