During Moose Wala’s murder investigation, rumors were doing the round about the involvement of Mankirt Aulakh in the assassination. Fortunately, by the end of June, he got a clean chit from the police. However, now once again the singer has landed into another legal feud. According to the reports, a case has been filed against Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh for allegedly defaming the legal profession in his song ‘8 Raflaan’.
A Chandigarh advocate Sunil Kumar Mallan has filed a complaint against the singer and reportedly has accused him of using defamatory and derogatory content about lawyers in his song. He has also requested for deleting the song and its lyrics from all video-audio streaming platforms and social media networks during the pendency of the case.
‘8 Raflaan’ has been sung by Mankirt Aulakh and Gurlez Akhtar. The line “Chakki oh vakil firde” (they pick advocates), has been sung by Gurlez, while Manikrt added, “Oh tan sohniye Rafal De Khoke” (they are just blank bullet shells).
Further, earlier also a legal notice was sent to not just the singer but the lyricist Shree Brar in the matter. So far no official statement has been released by the singer or the song’s team on the ongoing issue.
