​'Zorawar' trailer: Yo Yo Honey Singh's swag outshines his acting skills

You have seen him wooing girls with his rap skills but the rapper, singer, music director and actor, Yo Yo Honey Singh, will now be seen playing the male lead in an upcoming Punjabi film, ‘Zorawar.’ The film sees Honey playing a soldier who embarks on a journey in search for his identity. The makers recently released the much awaited trailer of the film. Unfortunately it fails to satisfy us, despite it having Honey Singh all over it.

Given that we’ve seen ample videos of Honey Singh throwing his attitude around and rapping, we were really excited to catch more of his acting stint in the trailer. But we are met with some more of his rapping swag and the barely existent acting that we do witness has left us unimpressed. The trailer has him mouthing merely three dialogues and Honey lacks the desired spark and intensity.
In the less than 30-sec screen time that Mukul Dev (the antagonist) appears in the trailer for, the actor manages to leave a lasting impression with the intensity of his eyes. The film also features Pawan Malhotra, Parul Gulati, VJ Bani among others.
Directed by Vinnil Markan and produced by PTC Punjabi and PTC Motion Pictures, ‘Zorawar’ will release on May 6, 2016.
