The real-life love stories of Punjabi divas that are nothing short of a romantic movie

They say the best love stories are pre-written. Well, we would beg to differ on this one and so would you if you listen to the romantic tales of your favourite Punjabi actresses. From Sargun Mehta to Jaspinder Cheema, the real-life love stories of these popular Punjabi actresses are nothing less than a well written romantic script. Read on to know for yourself.

Sargun Mehta

Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey had a journey that started from being reel life couple to real-life couple. The two played husband and wife on a popular television show. According to Sargun, when she first saw pictures of Ravi from the look test of the show, she didn’t find him cool at all. However, when they met in person the scene was completely different. From there they became friends, gradually the status changed into more than just friends, without the two even realising the same. Finally, when the two decided to take the relationship to next level, Ravi proposed to Sargun on a dance reality show on a national television and the rest is history.

Aditi Sharma

Another couple whose romance came a long way from on screen to off screen is of Aditi Sharma and Sarwar Ahuja. It all started when both of these actors started their journey to the glam world by participating in a television reality show in 2004. Call it plain destiny or something else, the two when entered the show were paired separately, but they won the same as partners. Thereafter, they signed their first movie ‘Khanna And Iyer’ together. Well, it didn’t take them long to notice that the cupid has done his job, and Aditi and Sarwar started dating in 2004. The couple kept their private life and under wraps for a long time and after ten years of dating, they tied knots in 2014.

Jaspinder Cheema

Do you believe in love at first sight? Well, Jaspinder Cheema’s husband Gurjit Singh surely does. Both Jaspinder Cheema and Gurjit Singh come from the entertainment background. They met on the sets of ‘Gelo’, and it all started from there. Initially, Gurjit was a little taken away by the stardom Jaspinder was enjoying at that time, but after talking to her, he couldn’t help but fall for the lady. Gurjit didn’t waste much time in fooling around, so one day while the entire crew and cast was celebrating the birthday of a team member on the sets, he confessed his love to Jaspinder and the rest is history.

Kavita Kaushik

Kavita Kaushik’s love life has always been the talk of the town, as the diva has always been very vocal about everything. After parting ways with her ex-boyfriend, actor Nawaz Shah, Kavita Kaushik tied knots with Ronnit Biswas. The two took vows last year only after a couple of months of dating. Just like it's shown in most of the Bollywood movies, the two initially were just good friends, but then cupid had other plans. The ‘Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan’ fame had a very simple ceremony in a temple with just the closed ones in Kedarnath. Well, the interesting part is that the couple trekked all the way to the Shiva temple in Kedarnath for the rituals.
