This week the Punjabi audience got not just one but two movies to enjoy - ‘Kitty Party’ and ‘Amaanat’. While the former is an out and out comedy, the latter is a serious content drama. Further, this week, Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal became a father to a new born baby boy and amount of his happiness can’t be measured.

Gippy Grewal

Gippy Grewal who is riding high on the success of his professional outings, got another reason to rejoice this week. However, it’s more personal and sentimental than the success of his movies or songs, as the artist became a father for the third time. After two sons, Ekomkar Grewal and Gurfateh Grewal, Gippy is blessed with a third son Gurbaaz Grewal. As an elated father, Gippy took to his social media handle to share pictures of his new born with his two elder brothers, and took the internet by storm.

​Rubina Bajwa

After confessing about her relationship with boyfriend Gubaksh Singh Chahal, in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Rubina Bajwa was seen doing social media PDA this week. The actress took to her Facebook account and made her relationship with Gubaksh Singh Chahal official on the same. While talking to us, the actress mentioned that as a girl in love, she doesn’t want to hide Gurbaksh from the world; perhaps, that’s why she has come in open about him. Seems like Valentines’ indeed has come early for her.

​‘Golgappe’

Punjabi actor Binnu Dhillon who is popular for his amazing comic timing and hilarious movies, took to his social media handle to announce another of his 2020 schedule films. Titled ‘Golgappe’, the movie is touted to be a full on comedy drama, which will be helmed by the ‘Carry On Jatta’ fame director Smeep Kang. Further, alongside Binnu Dhillon, the movie also stars Rajat Bedi, BN Sharma, Navneet Dhillon and Ihana Dhillon. The exact release date of the movie is yet to be out, but the shoot of the same is expected to go on the floors soon.

​‘Khatre Da Ghuggu’

The first poster look of Jordan Sandhu starrer ‘Khatre Da Ghuggu’ came out this week. The movie stars Jordan Sandhu and Diljot as the lead couple, with BN Sharma, Nitu Pandhar, Parkash Gadhu, Vijay Tondon and more in pivotal roles. The first poster look of the movie offered a glimpse of quirk that the film will be offering; thus, the audience can expect a good dose of comedy ahead. Further, directed by Shivtar Singh and Aman Cheema the movie will be released on January 10th.

​‘Amaanat’

The Royal Singh directorial ‘Amaanat’ released this week. Featuring the story of lost love and finding hope, the movie stars Dheeraj Kumar and Neha Pawar in the lead. Further, the movie also has Rahul Jungral, Rupinder Rupi, Mahabir Bhullar, Sanjeev Attri, Honey Mattu and Dilawar Sidhu in important roles. It had a fair start at the box office.

‘Kitty Party’

Another movie that made it to Pollywood box office this week is ‘Kitty Party’. The movie is a multi starrer with Nav Bajwa and Kainaat Arora in the lead, and Gurpreet Ghugi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Harby Sangha, Upsana Singh, Rana Ranbir, Neelu Kohli, Manni Boparai, Anita Devgan, Satwant Kaur, Preeto and Surinder Bath in pivotal parts. Besides playing the lead, Nav Bajwa is the writer and director of the movie. Further, offering a tale of a con woman and her games, the movie is a comedy drama that is tickling the audience.
