Upasana Singh, leading female comic and actor, has started shooting for the
upcoming film
‘
Bai Ji Kuttange
’ , which also stars her son, Nanak. Helmed by
Smeep Kang, the film stars
Dev Kharoud and Nanak in lead roles and are also stars actress,
Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu besides Gurpreet Ghuggi and
Upasana Singh in pivotal roles. Nanak has already debuted in films with Upasana Singh’s directorial debut ‘Yaaran Diya Po Baaran’. ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’ is a family-comedy that promises to send the audience into splits.
Director of the film, Smeep Kang, says, "The Punjabi film industry is flourishing, and we are happy that we are getting more and more people to back our films and having Upasana Singh on board is cherry on the cake. I am so excited about this new journey and hope that people will appreciate our efforts".
Says Upasana, “After earning appreciation for my acting and comedy for all these years, I wanted to return it in some way. 'Bai Ji Kuttange' is surely a first among many. We want to focus on making films that entertain and stay in the audiences' hearts forever. We are sure we will achieve that with the cast and crew we have assembled.”
Actor Dev Kharoud adds, “As an actor, I always wanted to try all the genres. However, people have loved my actions more. I hope with ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’, I will be able to make people laugh and get them to forget their tensions and worries for some time.”
The shooting of the film has already started this month.
