Top Punjabi movies releasing in theatres in October 2024

October 2024 is bringing a big treat for Punjabi movie lovers. This month, the cinephiles will be getting a dose of entertainment with movies coming from different genres. From the re-release of critically acclaimed films to the movies marking debuts and featuring fresh pairs, there’s so much to see on the big screen this October!
'Moh'
Marking the debut of Gitaz Bindarakhia, 'Moh' is a mature love story that is packed with emotions that cannot be described in words.This Jagdeep Sidhu directorial was originally released in 2022, and despite its gripping tale and stellar performances by Gitaz Bindrakhia and Sargun Mehta, the movie failed to have a box office success. However, it is counted among the most critically acclaimed Punjabi films, and the request for its re-release in theatres or OTT debut was doing the rounds from the time it came off the screens. Finally, the payers of the cinephiles have been heard and the movie is set to re-release in theatres on October 4, 2024.

'Shahkot'
Speaking of debuts, after debuting in the Hindi cinema with the movie 'Kuch Khatta Ho Jaye' starring Anupam Kher, Sai Manjrekar, and more, the Punjabi musical artist Guru Randhawa is ready to win Pollywood. He is making his Punjabi acting debut with ‘Shahkot,’ a romantic story where love falls prey to the brutal borders dividing countries and people. Alongside Guru Randhawa, the movie has Isha Talwar in the lead and actors like Raj Babbar, Gurshabad, Hardeep Gill, Seema Kaushal, and more in key roles. It will be hitting the big screens on October 4, 2024.

'Mittran Da Challeya Truck Ni'
Here comes a treat for Amrinder Gill fans. The 'Chal Mera Putt' fame star is back with another release - 'Mittran Da Challeya Truck Ni.' It is a romantic comedy set to be released on October 11, and it will show multiple cultural colours. The two prominent will be - Punjabi and Bengali. As the story is a triangle where Amrinder gets married to a Bengali girl (Sayani Gupta), while his heart beats for a Punjabi muttiyar (Sunanda Sharma). On top of it, there is a South Indian twist with Sayaji Shinde in a key role. From the trailer, it looks like a light-hearted mad comedy.

'Tabaah'
Last but not least, the 'Taur Naal Shada' singer Parmish Verma is coming up with his movie 'Tabaah' on October 18. It is one of his highly awaited films which shows the story of an innocent childlike boy, whose life takes a 360-degree turn after he gets devasted in love. Besides headlining the movie Parmish has directed it as well. In the lead alongside him are Wamiqa Gabbi, Dheeraj Kumar, and more.
