Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut’s war of words on Twitter is the most recent and talked about controversies of both Pollywood and Bollywood. It all began with Kangana Ranaut misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman who was a part of the farmers’ protest. Her tweet regarding the same didn’t go down well with any of the Punjabi stars, Diljit Dosanjh being one of them. Their heated arguments went viral on the internet.

This year Mandy Takhar shot her first Hindi song video, but before she could actually celebrate the happiness of the same, another news came crashing on her. A false video of her with inappropriate content was going viral on the internet. It was hard for the actress to face something as disrespectful as this, but she didn’t give up. She stood against the cyberbullies and even lodged an FIR. Mandy was supported by the whole fraternity and fans in this step.

Allegations of infidelity and domestic violence on Dilpreet Dhillon
Things went south in Dilpreet Dhillon and Amber Dhaliwal’s relationship this year. The couple who tied the knot in 2018, faced some really serious issues that were highlighted in 2020. According to the reports, Amber Dhaliwal accused Dilpreet Dhillon of infidelity and domestic violence. She posted a video to put her story. Thereafter Dilpreet Dhillon also posted a video wherein he said all the accusations are false. Initially in this tussle Punjabi stars rooted for Dilpreet, but later they apologized and said that if someone is the culprit then justice should be served.

Afsana Khan accused of singing an objectionable song at a school
This year even Punjabi singer Afsana Khan landed in a controversy. She performed the song ‘Jatt Dhakka Karda’ at a government school in Badal village, Muktsar district. A clip of the same went viral on social media and the singer was accused of performing a song that was not fit for school children. Thereafter FIR was filed against the singer and the school authorities.

Netizens questioned Diljit Dosanjh’s intention behind supporting farmers
Diljit Dosanjh has been one of the Punjabi stars standing in solidarity with the farmers right from the first day. However, his tweets stirred a bit of controversy. Some of the netizens believed that Diljit Dosanjh had a political agenda behind supporting the farmers. Diljit gave a fitting reply to all those who questioned his intentions and clarified that he was tweeting for humanitarian reasons and not political.
