‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ new song: ‘Soora So Pehchaniye’ celebrates the valor of soldiers

With the aim to bring forth the tale of Param Veer Chakra recipient, Subedar Joginder Singh Sahnan, the movie ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ released last Friday. Besides ruling the big screen, the movie is keeping the audiences hooked with the release of its songs, the latest one that entered the virtual world is ‘Soora So Pehchaniye’.
Originally, 'Soora So Pehchaniye' is a shabad from the holy book of Sikhs, Guru Granth Saheb.It says “sooraa so pahichaanee-ai jo larai deen kay hayt…. purjaa purjaa kat marai kabhoo na chhaadai khayt.”, which means he alone is known as a spiritual hero, who fights in defense of religion; he may be cut apart, piece by piece, but he never leaves the field of battle.
There could not be a better way than this to describe the courage of the soldiers fighting on the border. As the song unfolds, it features how bravely our armed men face the enemies and never back down no matter what the situation is or what the consequence will be.
The divine song has been sung by Daler Mehndi and Ustad Shaukat Ali Matoi and the music has been given by Jaidev Kumar.
