Originally, 'Soora So Pehchaniye' is a shabad from the holy book of Sikhs, Guru Granth Saheb. It says “sooraa so pahichaanee-ai jo larai deen kay hayt…. purjaa purjaa kat marai kabhoo na chhaadai khayt.”, which means he alone is known as a spiritual hero, who fights in defense of religion; he may be cut apart, piece by piece, but he never leaves the field of battle.
