“We are nervous and excited about this film, which has become special to us because it was made with so much love, but we had to wait so long for its release,” says Sonam, adding, “It’s set to entertain people amid these uncertain times. Someone must take the lead and start the film industry. There are a lot of families dependent on this industry for their livelihoods.”
Produced by Atul Bhalla of A&A Pictures and

Pawan Gill

of Brat films, directed by Rupinder Chahal, the film is a complete all round entertainer about a love story between a farmer and an educated girl and the twist that happens when he backs out from marrying her. The trailer and films content has already garnered warm responses from audiences.
Says Ammy, “The film is exceptional at all levels- family entertainment, music, story and acting. This is my fourth film together with Sonam and we are hopeful that our screen chemistry reflects in this one too.” Commenting on how this film is close to his heart, Ammy says, “The purpose of a film is to make people forget their daily stresses, especially the anxiety of the pandemic. And 'Puaada' is that film, it will make people laugh, cry and leave them refreshed.”
With Sonam’s character being of a strong girl, the daughter of an Air Force officer, the quirky twist in the plot arises from the conflict between the families of the male and female protagonists. “Like all families of defense background, the girl’s family expects her to be married at their stature. But she falls in love with a villager, though he’s well off. The conflict between families gives rise to the entertainment,” says Sonam and we can’t wait to see this all unfold on the big screen on 12th August when Puaada releases in cinemas worldwide!
